Something is still wrong with your site that is causing these issues in IE7. For sites with a small number of questions this same issue is happening in IE8.

You can use IETester to check browser compatibilty. http://www.my-debugbar.com/wiki/IETester/HomePage

I had to add this rule as well to approximate what you were going for in IE browsers. #qview-body .pstr, .usr_info { padding-left:325px; float:none; }

Thanks' I don't even have access to IE7, so this may be very helpful when other users test in IE7.

setting fixed padding-left and then float:none will work if there is only an author div but what if there is also a second div with "edited by" info? How will the page look if there are 2 of these divs?

You are right, my fix doesn't work. Dmitri, you *do* have access to IE7 if you use IETester. What I am trying to say is that this bug can affect IE8 (which I think we should support), but it is easier to see in IE7. If I come up with a better fix I will post it.
